A sort of anniversary, precursed by omens (- a photograph of Ironbridge and Van Everdingen's 'Allegory of winter' in Southampton Art Gallery, 19.10.96, a copy of 'Jonathan Livingston Seagull' in Romford Oxfam, 29.10.96 -) but in the event without resonance, intensity or coincidence.
A butterfly pinned, a flower in a mousetrap. A million miles, a million years from the Victoria in Cowley St. - is this the way the world ends (....discussing the cost of flannelette sheets and velour curtains)?
